Classic Freshness

A classic is classic not because it conforms to certain structural rules, or fits certain definitions (of which its author had quite probably never heard). It is classic because of a certain eternal and irrepressible freshness.

The Ultimate Classics List

Until I can figure out the logistics of posting such a large work on this site, here is a link to my hearty compilation: The Ultimate Classics List.

Thus far I have read 84 listed works in addition to portions of 36 other works.  Check out my progress by clicking the Goodreads tab on the right.

Not long ago...

Not long ago, I decided to compile a list of books.  Not just any list however. I wanted this list to compile all those books that could be rightfully labeled classics—and in my mind a must read! Many books and public lists were compiled and consolidated until one day I had myself a piece of work: the Ultimate Classics List.
Now, this list is very long and includes multiple works per author, by which it is organized. All the greats are on there—Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, and Jane Austen— in addition to some lesser known works. My goal is to read at least one literary work from each author, hopefully more!  I am excited to start logging my progress and invite you to join in on the fun!
